Structure & Executives

Zara is a Spanish international retailer based in Arteixo, Galicia. They offer trendy clothing and accessories. It is the flagship chain store of Inditex(an International Textile Company).  The founder Amancio Ortega opened the very first Zara store in 1975 in Spain. The products they carried were low priced and were copies of luxury fashions.  It was instantly a success and the Zara stores multiplied throughout Spain. The company shifted in a new direction changing up their designs, manufacturing, and distribution to be trendier and not so much “low priced fashions”.  Finally Zara entered the US in 1989. Zara is a vertically integrated retailer and controls most of the steps on their supply chain.
